The New Balance 1080 is the top of the range cushioned running shoe that has been specifically designed for those who want the very best in cushioning a its achieves the level required to keep you comfortable when you it the road hard. N-ERGY and Full Length ABZORB cushioning technologies deliver the platform for your feet.


• N-ergy is located at the heel and forefoot of the shoe. N-ergy is New Balance's most advance shock absorption and cushioning compound to date. It is designed to be responsive, lightweight and flexible.


• STABILITY WEB is located in the midfoot at the bottom of the midsole. The STABILITY WEB minimizes flex and provides lightweight support.

• ABZORB FL is a full-length midsole unit. ABZORB FL is the highest grade midsole from New Balance and is composed of DuPont Engage and isoprene rubber. This midsole offers great durability and a cushioned ride.

• Dual Density Collar Foam is located in the heel and helps secure the heel in place and provides comfort.

• Ortholite Sockliner is designed for added cushioning.

• ABZORB last is full-length strobel last and is intended for enhanced cushioning.

• Synthetic Overlays are strategically placed to produce a snug fit.


• Ndurance is located in the heel and the lateral side of the outsole. Ndurance is a highly durable carbon rubber.

• Blown rubber is located in the forefoot and is used to increase cushioning and responsiveness.
