Brooks

Cushioning

The primary function of cushioning is to distribute - and - soften the force of impact as your foots hits the ground.

- HydroFlow

- HydroFlow

When you run, you land with a force up to three to five times your body weight. Hydroflow viscous fluid units, located in the heel and fore-foot, help cushion that impact and never wear out.

- BioMoGo Misole

- BioMoGo Misole

The midsole accounts for the bulk of cushioning and energy return in a shoe. MoGo provides 40% more cushioning and 22% more energy return than a traditional midsole. And now Brooks have mad MoGo more environmentally freindly by adding a non-toxic, natural additive that encourages anaerobic microbes to munch away faster once it hits the landfill.

- e-Fusion

- e-Fusion

e-Fusion midsole compunds are added to the heel to help dampen forces at contact, and to the forefoot to provide more power.

DNA

DNA

Brooks DNA is an innovative and uniquely adaptive cushioning system. By adapting to your specific weight, pace, gait and running surface, DNA offers customized cushioning and adds a spring to your step.Traditional cushioning takes a one-size-fits-all approach, but we know that each runner is different. Brooks DNA was developed to continuously tailor the level of cushioning to your specific needs – even as they change during the run.

- Ortholite Sockliner

- Ortholite Sockliner

This memory foam insole, topped with moisture-moving fabric, offers excellent cushioning qand contributes to breathability.

Stability

Overpronation (excessive "rolling in" of the foot and ankle) can stress the feet and legs. Stability devices help fight fatigue and normalize the stride.

- PDRB

- PDRB

PDRB is a dual-density foam post that controls excessive pronation by optimally supporting the body weight and progressively and smoothly distributing the forces of impact.

- DRB Accel

- DRB Accel

This device, located between the heel and forefoot, keeps the shoe aligned in one direction (going forward!) and protects it from underisable side-to-side twisting or wrenching.

Durability

We all want our favourite running shoes to last as long as possible. High-quality materials in the shoe's outsole - where the rubber meets the road - make that possible.

- Outsole

- Outsole

The outsole of the trainer is made of High Performance Rubber Plus (HPR PLUS), an abrasion-resistant carbon rubber compund that provides durability, traction, and longer wear. Blown rubber in the forfoot provides a slighlty softer feel.

Breathability

Feet need to breathe too. Good ventilation and moisture-managing materials help keep feet comfortable on short and long runs.

- Upper

- Upper

The upper protects your foot and keeps it comfortable. On the inside of the upper, Element Linings keep your foot drier by moving moisture away from it. On the outside, Element Mesh improves ventilation and provides weather protection.

Sustainability

Brooks' BioMoGo midsole is the world's first fully biodegradable running shoe midsole.

- BioMoGo

- BioMoGo

Once a pair of Brooks shoes with BioMoGo reaches an active enclosed landfill, it will biodegrade in roughly 20 years - which is 50 times faster than a traditional Ethylene Vinyl Acetate <Actinic:Variable Name = 'EVA'/> midsole degrades under similar conditions. This single footwear material change will save more than 20 million pounds of landfill waste in the next 20 years.
